Inhalt

Dieser Kurs vermittelt theoretische und praktische Kenntnisse in der quantitativen Analyse von organismischen Formen. Der erste Teil führt in die multivariate morphometrische Analyse ein, insbesondere in die Methoden der "Geometrischen Morphometrie". Im zweiten Teil entwerfen die Studierenden eigene morphometrische Projekte und führen sie von der Datenaufnahme bis zur abschliessenden Präsentation durch.

In this course, students acquire the theoretical and practical skills required for state-of-the-art quantitative analysis of oganismic form. Part I provides an introduction into multivariate morphometric analysis, especially geometric morphometrics. In part II, student groups design and implement their own morphometric projects from data acquisition and analysis to the final presentation.
