About

After graduating in Natural Sciences at the University of Bologna in 2005, I obtained a PhD at the same University in 2010. Specifically, my research focus during my PhD was on the study of entheses (skeletal attachment sites of muscles and ligaments) and their modification in relation to sex, age and physical activity. I participated in the archaeological excavations of Bronze Age burials in South-Western Kazakhstan (Chirik Rabbat and Senghir Tam) in 2006 and 2007.

In 2010, I began my post-doc in Prof. Zollikofer's group at the Anthropological Institute & Museum, University of Zürich, Switzerland.
