Research Interests

I am a behavioural ecologist studying the social lives of animals. My work is often inspired by ideas and hypotheses developed by Evolutionary Anthropologists as they help me explore various aspects of animal behaviour and sociality including, among others, the drivers of individual social preferences, the processes that groups follow to reach consensus, the ways groups resolve conflicts and respond to inequality and the effects of environmental heterogeneity on social processes. I enjoy coding and analysing large behavioral datasets but I am also passionate about fieldwork in remote and full-of-animal-life destinations.
