Currently, I’m interested in understanding processes (i.e., natural and/or anthropogenic impacts) driving to population structure.

My current research focuses on the use of new genomics technique to identify genetic population structure of Delphinidae and understand the spatial and temporal variation of those populations. Results from this research will be used to define Evolutionary Significant Units (ESUs) and Management Units (MUs) for Delphinidae across the Western Australia coastline for conservation and management purposes.    

During my PhD (Murdoch University, Australia), my research primarily focused on assessing the fine-scale demographic, social and genetic structure of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins inhabiting coastal and estuarine waters of Perth, Western Australia.
